Technological Iteration – Successful Development of the Third Generation S30

In April 2020, the third-generation S30 was successfully developed, marking a significant technological iteration. Core upgrades included the introduction of AI visual obstacle avoidance technology, equipped with a front-facing 5-megapixel RGB camera and a self-developed lightweight YOLOv3-tiny model, capable of recognizing 15 types of obstacles, increasing the obstacle avoidance success rate from 60% to 85%. When encountering power lines or pet waste, the robot will proactively avoid them and send an app notification. The wet mopping system was also revamped, with an electronically controlled 200ml water tank supporting three water volume adjustments, and constant pressure mop downforce (3N) increasing wet mopping coverage by 40%. Performance-wise, suction power was increased to 2500Pa, with automatic pressure boosting in carpet mode, and battery life extended to 150 minutes. In the market, the initial domestic price was ¥2499, and the overseas price was $349. Annual sales exceeded 300,000 units, successfully entering the Japanese and South Korean markets, and winning the 2020 CES Innovation Award. This upgrade signifies that the product has evolved from simply "sweeping" to "thinking," significantly enhancing the user experience.
